Sophia Chou

Sophia Chou is a highly skilled power electronics engineer with extensive experience in hardware design and innovation, currently serving as a Staff Power Electronics Engineer at Enphase Energy since May 2021. Previously, Sophia contributed to the UC Berkeley Solar Vehicle Team, CalSol, in multiple roles including Engineering Director, where responsibilities included overseeing design and integration for the Zephyr solar vehicle, and Mechanical Lead, focusing on chassis design and optimization. Sophia's background also includes high power density power electronics research at Pilawa Group, an internship at Tesla focused on power electronics for electric vehicle charging, and a solid academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, complemented by master's and bachelor's degrees in related fields.
