Michiel Gielen

Michiel Gielen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Michiel started their career in 2006 as a Medewerker servicedesk at OGD ict-diensten, where they worked until 2013. In 2013, Michiel joined Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as a Student, and their tenure lasted until 2016. During this time, they also worked as a Researcher Bioinformatics at Erasmus MC from February 2016 to July 2016.

In 2016, Michiel joined GxP Cloud as a Full-Stack Software Engineer and continued working there until 2019. Michiel then joined ENPICOM BV in 2019 as a Full-Stack Software Engineer and was promoted to Senior Full-stack Software Engineer in July 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Technology Lead at ENPICOM BV, starting from January 2022.

Throughout their career, Michiel has gained significant experience in the technology field, particularly in full-stack software engineering and bioinformatics research.

Michiel Gielen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Life, Science & Technology from Delft University of Technology and Leiden University in the years 2006 to 2012. Michiel then pursued a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2013 to 2016. Michiel obtained the certification of Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam / VU in February 2016.
