Sjors de Waard has had a diverse work experience over the past decade. In 2010, they started as a Sales Captain for SQPeople. In 2013, they did an internship at the Radiation and Stress Cell Biology department at the University of Groningen, researching the effects of radiation therapy on cancer cells. In 2016, they worked as a Sales Representative for Shanghai Hanjie Wine Co and also did a 9-month internship at the department of Developmental Biology, specialized in Reproductive Biology at Utrecht University. In 2018, they worked as a Salesman for eLiving and as a Graduate Intern, Marketing resource optimisation at the Product & Strategy department for Roche. In 2019, they joined the dermatology team at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Sales Representative for a new innovative drug for the treatment of psoriasis. Currently, they are an International Sales Executive at ENPICOM BV, helping customers all over the world to improve human health with their immune repertoire sequencing platform.

Sjors de Waard has a diverse educational background. Sjors obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research, major Research from the Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen in 2007-2009. Sjors then went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences: Molecular Biology from the University of Groningen in 2010-2014. In 2016-2018, they obtained a Master's degree in Science and Business Management from Utrecht University. Additionally, they completed an Honours Programme in Consultancy & Entrepreneurship from Utrecht University Business Course in 2017. Sjors also holds certifications in Commercial Skills Training 'From Contract to Contract' from ENPICOM BV (2021), Advanced Value Selling & Sales management from Krauthammer (2019), and a VMT (Safe Microbial Techniques) Certificate. Level ML-1 from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.
