Gary Stewart IEng MIMechE has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Gary started their career at HCS Control Systems Ltd as a Mechanical Engineer, where they spent two summers working on technical drawings, documents, and specifications, as well as assisting in component selection and design.

In 2010, Gary joined Petrofac and held multiple roles, including Operations Coordinator, Production Technician, and Offshore Project Coordinator. As Operations Coordinator, they liaised between various departments to optimize platform workflow and minimize downtime. As a Production Technician, Gary ensured the safe and efficient operation of the Thistle Alpha Oil Production Platform. As an Offshore Project Coordinator, they managed different projects, including vessel recertification, crane inspection, and potable water system chemical cleaning. This role allowed him to utilize their project management skills gained from an APMP course.

In 2015, Gary joined EnQuest as a Lead Production Technician and later became the First Oil/Transition Coordinator. As the Lead Production Technician, they had offshore responsibilities on the Enquest Producer, and as the First Oil/Transition Coordinator, they coordinated all activities associated with operational readiness for first oil and monitored project progress.

Gary Stewart IEng MIMechE attended Buckhaven High School from 2000 to 2006. From 2006 to 2010, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Dundee.
