Laura Thorpe

Laura Thorpe has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Laura is currently a Senior Consultant at Ensono Digital, starting in December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Naimuri as a Senior Delivery Lead from October 2020 to January 2022, where they were responsible for account management and delivery of software development solutions. From November 2019 to September 2020, Laura worked as an Information Technology Project Manager at Bentley Motors Ltd. Before that, they held the position of Senior Delivery Lead / Product Owner at FCO Services.gov.uk from July 2018 to November 2019, where they managed technical projects and implemented Agile methodologies. Laura also worked as a Senior Technical / IT Project Manager at QinetiQ from September 2014 to July 2018, leading multiple complex projects and handling financial and sales activities. Additionally, they have experience as a Global Senior Field Engineer at OptaSense from August 2013 to September 2014, where they worked on infrastructure monitoring projects in the oil and gas industry. Laura's work experience also includes their role as an Operations Manager (Captain) in the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers of the British Army from August 2008 to August 2013, where they managed personnel, coordinated technical services, and implemented projects for improvement.

Laura Thorpe completed their education history as follows:

From 2003 to 2005, Laura attended Welbeck Military Sixth Form College, where they pursued A Levels.

From 2005 to 2008, they attended Newcastle University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BEng).

In 2008, Laura furthered their education by attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where they obtained The Queen's Commission.

In 2014, they completed the PRINCE2 Foundation & Practitioner course in Project Management at ILX.

In 2015, Laura attended Quanta Training to specialize in Scrum Master and Product Owner roles.

In 2016, they pursued Project Management training and obtained the APMP certification from QA Training.

In 2019, they expanded their skillset by enrolling in multiple training programs. At QA Training, Laura completed courses in Programming Foundation (Python) and ITIL. Additionally, they attended Radtac to specialize in Leading SAFe 4.0, and also participated in the Lean Start-up Bootcamp offered by Strategizer.
