Nicolas Carrere

Nicolas Carrere currently serves as the Deputy Director at IRDL - UMR CNRS 6027/UBS/ENSTA-Bretagne/ENIB/UBO since January 2022 and is an Associate Professor at ENSTA Bretagne, a position held since October 2019. Previously, Nicolas was an Engineer at Safran Composites from March 2016 to October 2019, leading activities in the "Mechanic of Materials" division. Nicolas also held an Associate Professorship at ENSTA Bretagne from September 2011 to February 2016, during which time responsibilities included leading the industrial chair focused on the durability of hybrid adhesive bonding for renewable marine applications. Prior to these roles, Nicolas worked as a Research Scientist at ONERA from 1998 to 2011, heading the MSC Team within the Composite Materials and Structures Department. Academically, Nicolas earned a Ph.D. in Material Mechanics from École Polytechnique (1998-2001) and holds a Master's degree in Material Mechanics from Université de Bordeaux (1991-1997).
