Neil Bird

Neil Bird has held various roles in the drilling industry over the past three decades. Neil began their career at Baker Hughes in 1990, where they worked as a Wellbore Surveyor and later took on roles as a Survey Systems Coordinator and a Directional Driller. In 1997, they became a Product Line Manager for Survey Systems in the UK region.

In 2006, Neil joined Weatherford as a Directional Drilling Coordinator and eventually took on roles such as RSS Global Operations Support Manager and DD/RSS Global Technical Manager. Neil then became the US RSS Product Line Manager and later the Global Service Line Manager for Directional Drilling. From 2014 to 2018, they served as the NXGen RSS Commercialization Manager and the Product Line Manager for Rotary Steerable Systems.

Neil joined Scientific Drilling in 2018 as the Product Line Manager for Rotary Steerable Systems. Neil then moved to Nabors Industries in 2019, where they worked as a Rotary Steerable PLM.

Most recently, Neil has worked at NJB RSS Consultancy as a Consultant and is currently employed at Enteq Technologies as the Product Director. Neil also holds the position of VP Advanced Drilling Systems at Enteq Technologies since October 2021.

Neil Bird attended Imperial College London from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a B Eng Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering.
