Denise Barbut MD FRCP has a long and varied career in the medical field. Denise began their career in 1996 as the Founder of Embol-X, the first ever embolic protection devices. The company was later sold. In 2000, they founded coaxia, where they served as Founder, President, and Board Member. In 2005, they founded BeneChill and served as Founder, Chairman and CEO. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Sarentis Therapeutics. Denise then moved on to Enterin Inc. where they served as Co-Founder, Co-Chairman, President and CMO, and later Co-Founder, President and CMO.

Denise Barbut MD FRCP completed their high school education at Robert College Istanbul from 1970 to 1972. Denise then attended University College London and Imperial College London from 1974 to 1980, where they earned their MBBS MD in Medicine. Following this, they completed their FRCP at National Hospital nervous Diseases, Queen Square, Imperial College, Brompton Hospital from 1980 to 1984. Lastly, they completed a Neurology Residency Program at Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University from 1984 to 1988.
