Network Engineer at Enterprise Integration

Kevin Livingston has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and analysis. Kevin began their career in 2001 at General Dynamics, where they served as a Field Technician and later took on roles such as Production Control/Senior Customer Service Representative/Field Technician. During their time at General Dynamics, they provided technical and logistician support in the U.S. Army's South West Asia Theater and played a key role in establishing and managing the Contingency RCS section in Iraq.

In 2005, Kevin joined Northrop Grumman as a System Engineer and later transitioned into the role of a Network Engineer. At Northrop Grumman, they contributed to the design and implementation of campus area networks, utilizing fiber backbones, hardware encryptors, and Cisco routers for secure data, voice, and video traffic across military training sites. Kevin also optimized network infrastructure and resolved network issues to ensure maximum availability of services.

Following their tenure at Northrop Grumman, Kevin worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Central Texas College and taught from 2005 to 2012. Subsequently, they joined SAIC in 2011 as a Network Engineer, where they once again played an instrumental role in designing and implementing campus area networks and configuring Cisco routers, TACLANE devices, and switches.

In 2013, Kevin joined Travis County as a Network Engineer, responsible for maintaining and updating network hardware and systems. Kevin also provided technical support and installed network facilities.

Kevin then joined AHS-IS in 2014 as a Network Analyst. Kevin implemented corporate strategies, configured corporate standards, and ensured compliance with security and HIPAA regulations. Kevin also designed and implemented a secure wireless link for a remote site, resulting in cost savings.

In 2017, Kevin returned to SAIC as a Network Engineer. In this role, they collaborated with the military to design and implement networks for training exercises and optimized network infrastructure to support various functions.

Most recently, Kevin holds the position of Network Engineer at Enterprise Integration, starting in 2021.

Kevin Livingston's education history is as follows:

- From 1979 to 1981, Kevin attended Prosser Vocational High School.

- In 1981 and 1982, they attended the U.S. Army Infantry Training Center at Ft Benning, GA, where they obtained a degree in U.S. Army Individual Infantry.

- In 1987, Kevin attended the U.S. Army Ammunition Specialist Course at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

- In 1992, they completed the U.S. Army Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course at Redstone Arsenal, AL.

- From 1986 to 2005, Kevin studied at Central Texas College and earned an AS in General Studies.

- In 2010, they enrolled in the Cisco Netacad Academy's online program and obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate Security for Instructors degree in CCNA Security.

- In 2004, they obtained a certificate for the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching).

- In 2007, they completed the General Dynamic TACLANE Type 1 Encryptor training and passed the Cisco CVOICE (642-432) Exam.

- In 2010, Kevin obtained certifications for the Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security), Retina Network Security Scanner, and Flying Squirrel Wireless Discovery/Mapping Application.

- Kevin became an Instructor with 10 years of service for Cisco in 2014.

- In 2019, Kevin completed training courses on Practical Linux for Network Engineers: Part 1 and Part 2, as well as Installing and Setting up GNS3.

- In 2020, they earned certifications in Troubleshooting Network Connectivity, Troubleshooting Your Network with Wireshark, Wireless Networking Essential Training, and Linux: Network Configuration.

- In 2021, Kevin completed the Implementing and Administering Cisco Networking Technologies certification.

Kevin also possesses certifications in A+, Network+, Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI), and various other industry-related certifications.
