James Distefano

James DiStefano, JD, MBA, SPHR, currently serves as the Senior Director of Human Resources & In-House Counsel at EBG since September 2019. Prior to this role, James was the Head of Human Resources for North America at imec, a leader in nano-electronics research. James has extensive experience in human resources, having held positions such as Director of Human Resources at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and Senior Human Resources Manager for Compliance and Immigration at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Additionally, James worked as Immigration Counsel for the State of North Carolina and as an Associate at Paul Shearman Allen & Associates. James holds a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, and a B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Union College.
