Chen Zhang

Associate Scientist at Entos Pharmaceuticals

Chen Zhang has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. In 2013, Chen worked as an undergraduate research student at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, studying the antiviral effect of rBmTHY against Bombyx mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus. From July to September 2016, Chen also served as a summer research intern at the National University of Singapore, where they were involved in a project studying the structural and functional mechanisms of Isthmin1-mediated inhibition in cancer cells. In 2017, Chen joined the University of Denver as a research assistant in Dr. Qin's lab, focusing on exploring zinc dynamics and physiological roles in primary live neurons. This involved discovering spontaneous and synchronous zinc spikes in rat primary hippocampal neurons and studying the crosstalk between calcium and zinc spikes. Chen's most recent work experience is at Entos Pharmaceuticals, where they started as an Associate Scientist in March 2023.

Chen Zhang started their education at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University in 2013 and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Biopharmaceutics. In 2014, they also attended the University of Liverpool for a year, focusing on Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Currently, Chen Zhang is pursuing a Doctor's Degree at the University of Denver, specializing in Neuroscience, Genetically encoded sensor development, and Molecular and Cellular Biophysics.
