Chang Zhao

Chang Zhao is a research scientist at Iambic Therapeutics, having progressed from Research Scientist I to Research Scientist II since December 2021. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine from September 2015 to July 2021, focusing on physiology and biophysics under the guidance of Dr. Francesco Tombola and other advisors. Additional research experience comprises a CIRM internship at UC San Diego and an undergraduate research assistantship at California State University San Marcos. Chang Zhao holds a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from UC Irvine, an M.S. in Biotechnology from UC Irvine, and a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from California State University San Marcos. Research contributions include culturing marine algae, cloning novel constructs, and establishing transformation systems using advanced techniques.
