Laurent Gomez

Laurent Gomez, Ph.D., serves as the Vice President and Head of Chemistry at Iambic Therapeutics, where expertise in machine learning and automated chemistry is applied to advance small-molecule therapeutics design. Previously, Laurent held the positions of Director and Associate Director of Chemistry at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, leading a multi-disciplinary team in the development of treatments for pain disorders and managing key projects and collaborations. Additionally, Laurent worked as a Scientific and Business Development Consultant and Group Leader in Drug Discovery at Dart NeuroScience LLC, directing a team in CNS projects. Laurent began a career in drug discovery at Johnson and Johnson as a Senior Scientist after completing post-doctoral work in Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Laurent earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Université Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg I).
