Karl Cope has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karl is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Envirolab Group, a leading provider of laboratory and testing services in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, they held the position of Director and Deputy Chair at Wildlife Recovery Australia T/A Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital. Karl has also served as a Director at Jets Sports Club TA Parkes Leagues Club and Newtown Rugby League Football Club. Additionally, Karl has been a Director and 50% shareholder in Belemma Pty Limited trading as The Wreck Surf & Street & The Nipper Kiosk, a surf wear and equipment retail business. Prior to that, they held executive positions at Active Tree Services and hipages, where they served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, respectively. Karl has also worked as a Business Improvement Manager (Contract) at the NSW Police Force and as the Executive General Manager Commercial at K&S Corporation Limited. Karl started their career at Scott Corporation Limited, where they served as the Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary.

Karl Cope has a diverse education history. Karl completed a GAICD (Company Directors Course) at The Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2009. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) between 2001 and 2003. In 1999, they obtained a FCA degree (Accounting, taxation, audit, ethics) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Karl Cope also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Canberra, which they completed in 1997. Earlier in their education, they obtained a Higher School Certificate from Hawker College ACT in 1992 and a School Certificate from Byron Bay High School in 1991.
