Bria M. Calvin

Bria M. Calvin is an experienced professional in environmental policy and community engagement, currently serving as the State Manager for Louisiana Political Affairs at the Environmental Defense Fund since January 2023. In this role, Bria oversees the development and execution of campaigns aligned with EDF’s Louisiana strategy. As Managing Director at The DARA Effect since April 2022, Bria specializes in environmental justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion, along with various aspects of project management and organizational development. Previous experience includes positions as a Community Engagement Associate at Hummingbird Firm, multiple legal internships focusing on environmental and natural resources law, and leadership roles at the FAMU College of Law. Bria holds a Juris Doctor from FAMU College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
