Michele Melendez

Michele Melendez serves as the Director of Brand Digital Content at the Environmental Defense Fund since September 2016, leading a team responsible for brand-level digital content and overseeing homepage content decisions. Previously, Michele held the position of Senior Director of Online Media at Points of Light, managing website strategy and content creation while developing metrics for effectiveness. As Associate Director for Communications at Encore.org, Michele produced various materials to engage boomers in second careers and assisted media in enhancing coverage of retirement topics. Earlier experience includes roles as a national correspondent for Newhouse News Service, a freelance writer/editor, and an adjunct instructor at American University. Michele holds a BA in Journalism from American University.
