Nicole Buell

Nicole Buell is an accomplished professional specializing in climate policy and environmental economics. Currently serving as Senior Director of US Climate Implementation at Environmental Defense Fund since May 2022, Nicole previously held the role of Director of Federal Climate Innovation. Prior experience includes working as a Professional Staff Member at the United States Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and as an Economist at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where responsibilities included analyzing energy market proposals and providing policy recommendations. Additional roles encompass program examination at the Office of Management and Budget and fellowship at the US Forest Service, focusing on science communication and policy analysis.
