Nicole Israel-Meyer

Project Coordinator, Measuring Impact II at Environmental Incentives

As the Project Coordinator for the USAID-funded Measuring Impact II initiative, Nicole supports both technical and project management staff. With a background in natural resource management and environmental science, she brings a wide array of organizational, facilitation, and scientific skills to the team.

Prior to joining Environmental Incentives, Nicole served as the environmental affairs intern at the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel (STAP) to the Global Environment Facility (GEF), where she conducted literature reviews, contributed to technical papers, performed project screenings, coordinated workshops, and produced summary report briefs. Additionally, Nicole has experience working with the US Forest Service in Alaska coordinating trail sustainability initiatives, with Peace Corps Paraguay as an environmental conservation educator and forestry specialist, and with the Johns Hopkins University as a remote sensing research assistant.

Nicole believes that locally led conservation plays an integral role in adapting to the impacts brought on by climate change. Successfully integrating the latest scientific trends with sustainable development practices is essential for lasting conservation, social change, and solving the climate crisis.
