Fred Marquez has a diverse work experience, primarily focused on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis and technician roles. Fred started their career as a Petty Officer Second Class in the US Navy from March 2011 to March 2015. Following their military service, they worked as a Guest Ambassador at San Diego Zoo Global from September 2017 to September 2018. Fred then joined the California Department of Transportation as a Geographic Information System Intern from August 2019 to September 2020. After that, they worked as a Geographic Information Systems Technician at Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. from September 2020 to February 2021. Fred later joined the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst from March 2021 to June 2022. Currently, they hold a role as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Environmental Science Associates from July 2022 onwards.
Fred Marquez completed an Associate's degree in Anthropology at San Diego Mesa College from 2015 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Anthropology and Geography at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
