Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Environmental Science Associates

Lauren Connor has a diverse work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and environmental science. Lauren is currently employed as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Environmental Science Associates, where they manage multiple GIS projects, provides technical support, and utilizes remote sensing techniques to assess natural resources. Prior to this, they worked at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. as a GIS Analyst. Lauren also gained experience as a GIS Specialist at Upwork and as a Collection Planning (GIS) Analyst and Global Imagery Support Representative at DigitalGlobe. In addition, Lauren has a background in research biology, having worked as a Research Biologist at the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, where they conducted research projects, assisted with marine mammal rescues, and coordinated educational outreach. Lauren also has experience as a Research Assistant at Sea to Shore Alliance and Flinders University.

Lauren Connor pursued their education in the field of geography. Lauren obtained a Bachelor's degree from Florida Atlantic University, where they attended from 2007 to 2011. During their time at Florida Atlantic University, they also earned certificates in GIS Analysis and Environmental Science. Later, they furthered their studies by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography at Unity Environmental University from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their academic qualifications, Lauren has also obtained a certification as an Open Water Diver from PADI in May 2021.
