Phong Ly Eit

Phong Ly has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Starting in 2018, they worked as a Student Engineer at Gulf Power Company for a period of three months. In 2019, they had two roles: a Summer Civil Engineering Intern at BART for two months and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Mississippi State University, where they worked in both the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and the Department of Sustainable Bioproducts. They continued their research assistant position until 2019 when they transitioned to being a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, which lasted for one year. From 2020 to 2022, Phong worked as a Utilities Engineer at the California Public Utilities Commission. Currently, they are employed as a Civil Engineer at Environmental Science Associates since 2022.

Phong Ly, EIT completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Mississippi State University from 2015 to 2019. Phong then pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley from 2019 to 2020. During their time at UC Berkeley, Phong obtained additional certifications including the Engineering and Business for Sustainability Certificate and the Master of Science, Civil & Environmental Engineering. Phong also received the California Engineer-in-Training certification from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in June 2019.
