Brad Bartelme is an aquatic biologist with 11 years of experience in algal taxonomy and aquatic ecology. He graduated from John Carroll University with two degrees; a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science with a concentration in Chemistry and an M.S. degree in Biology. He has been involved with long term water quality monitoring including relevant experience with fish and aquatic macroinvertebrate surveys; identification and enumeration of fish, macroinvertebrates, periphyton, and phytoplankton; chlorophyll-a analysis; Harmful Algal Bloom and toxin analyses; microscopy and microbiology techniques; field sampling methods and techniques. Since he started at EnviroScience he has helped with a multitude of projects including all 5 U.S. EPA National Aquatic Resource Surveys (NARS): the National Rivers and Streams Assessment (NRSA), the National Coastal Conditions Assessment (NCCA), the National Wetland Conditions Assessment (NWCA), and the National Lakes Assessment (NLA).
