Brian Jurgielewicz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Brian is currently working as a Research Scientist at Envisagenics since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from April 2021 to September 2022.

Brian also has experience in the finance and investment sector, serving as a Re-Founding Member and Due Diligence Officer at Bio/Med Investor Network from July 2020 to April 2021. Brian also held the position of Vice Chair (Emerging Leaders Network) at Georgia Bio from April 2020 to April 2021.

In terms of academic research, Brian worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at The University of Georgia from August 2015 to April 2021. Brian completed their PhD in this role and focused on utilizing extracellular vesicles as therapeutic delivery vectors for neurological disorders. During their time at the University of Georgia, Brian developed and executed studies to assess the therapeutic efficacy of extracellular vesicles in various neurological diseases and created a non-invasive platform for loading therapeutic peptides into extracellular vesicles. Brian also worked on enhancing the delivery efficacy of nucleic acid therapeutics across the blood-brain barrier for the treatment of amyloidosis disorders. Brian utilized in vitro modeling approaches and induced pluripotent stem cells to recapitulate cellular deficits in Parkinson's Disease and amyloidosis disorder diseases.

Brian has also gained entrepreneurial experience as an Entrepreneurial Lead at the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps in 2019, and as a Summer Intern at University of Georgia - Innovation Gateway in 2020. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Cornell University from January 2013 to May 2015.
