Samantha Bremner is a Scientist III in Research & Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific since September 2025, with prior experience as a Scientist II and I at Appia Bio, where significant contributions were made to the preclinical development of allogeneic CAR-NKT and CAR-γδT cell therapies. At Appia Bio, Samantha optimized cell therapy manufacturing processes and developed high-throughput lentiviral payload screening methods. As an NSF Graduate Research Fellow from September 2019 to November 2022, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, Samantha conducted research on 3D hydrogel-based engineered cardiac tissues. Earlier roles included Laboratory Assistant at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Undergraduate Research Assistant, resulting in co-authorship on publications and an honors thesis. Samantha holds a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Washington and a BS in the same field from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
