Gemma Shay-Lowell

Gemma Shay-Lowell has a strong background in medical writing. Gemma started their career in 2012 as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Moffitt Cancer Center, where they worked until 2017. In 2017, they joined Envision Pharma Group as an Associate Medical Writer and worked in that position until 2018. Gemma then moved up to Medical Writer and held that role until 2021. From 2021 to 2023, Gemma served as a Senior Medical Writer at Envision Pharma Group. Currently, they hold the position of Scientific Director at the same company.

Gemma Shay-Lowell holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medicine and Therapeutics from the University of Aberdeen. Prior to their PhD, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Biochemistry with Molecular Biology from the University of Surrey. Gemma also completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry at the University of Aberdeen. In addition to their academic achievements, Gemma obtained certification as a Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) from the ISMPP (International Society for Medical Publication Professionals) in October 2021.
