Art Shepard

Art Shepard has a varied and extensive work experience in the medical field, primarily as a Neonatologist and Medical Director. Art has held positions at multiple hospitals, including Henrico, Parham & Retreat Doctors' Hospitals, Envision Healthcare, Trident Medical Center, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, UNC Hospitals, and Wake Forest Baptist Health. Throughout their career, they have also held leadership roles such as Chief of the Medical Staff and Chief-Elect of the Medical Staff. Art has actively contributed to the field, serving on committees and advisory boards. Overall, Art Shepard has a strong background in neonatal and perinatal medicine.

Art Shepard obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the years 1981 to 1985. Art then pursued a Masters Certificate in Evidence-Based Health Care at the University of Oxford from 1997 to 1998. Continuing their education, Art Shepard earned a Medical Doctorate with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, specializing in Medicine, during the period of 1985 to 1989.
