Patrice André has a long and varied career in research and medicine. Patrice began their career in 1993 as a Post Doctoral Fellow at The University of New Mexico. In 1994 they became an Assistant Professor at Université de Rennes 1, Faculté de Médecine. In 1999, they took on multiple roles, including Research Team Leader at INSERM, UCBL, CIRI (International Center for Research in Infectioloy), Assistant Professor at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Faculté de Médecine et de Maïeutique Lyon Sud - Charles Mérieux, and Medicine Specialist at Hospices Civils de Lyon. In 2014, they became a Cofounder and Consultant at Enyo Pharma SA, and in 2020, they became President of Hormae pharma.
Patrice André attended Université de Bretagne Occidentale from 1976 to 1983, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in the Infectious Disease Residency Program. Patrice then went on to attend Université de Rennes I, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and Immunology.
