Kumiko Kanayama

Kumiko Kanayama is an expert in Shiatsu and wellness practices, serving as the Founder and CEO of The Five Lights Center since 2012. Currently, Kumiko conducts workshops and lectures at various institutions, including the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, Himalayan Institute, Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. In addition to instructing on self-shiatsu and Shiatsu techniques, Kumiko emphasizes the healing of intergenerational trauma and the enhancement of the immune system through this ancient Japanese practice. Kumiko's educational background includes multiple certifications in Acutonics and Ohashiatsu, along with a degree in liberal arts from Aoyama Gakuin University.
