Klaus Schonenberger is a highly experienced professional in the medical technology sector, currently serving as the Director of EssentialTech Centre since January 2019 and Co-founder, President of the Board of Directors at Pristem since November 2015. As the CEO and Co-founder of EssentialMed since January 2010, Klaus Schonenberger focuses on developing affordable medical devices for underserved communities worldwide. Previous roles include Program Leader at EPFL's Cooperation & Development Center, and various leadership positions in research and development at DJO Incorporated, ReAble Therapeutics Inc., and Compex Technologies Inc. Klaus Schonenberger holds a PhD in Biomedical Optics and an MSc in Microtechnology from EPFL.
