Yan-Kim Tran is an experienced electrical engineer currently serving as an Ingénieur électricien at EPFL EssentialTech Centre since February 2022. Tran has held positions at imperix as a development engineer and worked independently while traveling. Prior roles include serving as a Doctoral Assistant at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, where Tran completed a PhD thesis titled "Multiport Energy Gateway." Tran's earlier experience includes development engineering roles at imperix and L&V Design, and assisting at EPFL. Yan-Kim Tran holds a PhD in Power Electronics and has degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from EPFL, as well as a Maturité Fédérale in Physics and Mathematics from Gymnase Auguste Piccard.
