Guido Marinelli

GNC/AOCS Engineer at EPIC AEROSPACE

Guido Marinelli has been working in the aerospace industry since 2010. In 2019, they joined EPIC AEROSPACE as a GNC/AOCS Engineer, where they are responsible for the design and implementation of Attitude Determination and Control Systems in the Chimera line of tugs. Guido has developed ADCS algorithms, 6 DoF models and simulations to evaluate potential attitude determination and control configurations and to inform better system-wide decisions. Guido also implemented power and communications models for mission analysis, and is currently the Lead Vehicle Configuration Engineer.

Prior to EPIC AEROSPACE, Marinelli worked for VENG S.A. from 2010 to 2019 as a GN&C Engineer. Guido's main task involved the design and implementation of Guidance and Control algorithms for launch vehicles within the ISCUL project. Guido was also in charge of the design and implementation of Fault Diagnostics and Tolerance Systems applied to GN&C, and performed Mission risk assessment. Guido was responsible for leading the vehicle Multi-Disciplinary Optimization group, designing the optimization algorithms, generating and supervising the mathematical models of the different disciplines and integrating them into optimization architecture and software.

From 2006 to 2009, Marinelli worked at the Facultad de Ingeniería - UBA. Guido was an Ayudante Ad Honorem for the Cátedra Circuitos Electrónicos I and the Cátedra Laboratorio. Guido also worked on a project for the Comisión Nacional de Actividades Espaciales (CONAE) in collaboration with the Laboratorio de Circuitos Electrónicos (LACE) of the Facultad de Ingeniería, where they simulated and evaluated the performance of continuous-to-continuous converters to power the synthetic aperture radar of the SAOCOM satellite.

Guido Marinelli completed a degree in Ingeniero en Electrónica from the University of Buenos Aires between 2003-2011. Guido also obtained a degree in Técnico Electromecánico from Escuela de Educación Técnica N° 2 "Mercedez Vasquez de Labbé" between 1998-2002.
