Wenceslao Villanueva Jr. is a highly experienced game designer and technical leader with a robust career in the gaming industry. Currently serving as a Technical Game Design Lead at Epic Games since April 2022, Wenceslao previously held multiple positions at Sony Interactive Entertainment from March 2016 to March 2022, including Senior Technical Game Design Supervisor and Lead Technical Game Designer. Wenceslao's earlier experience includes roles at Sony Computer Entertainment Bend from September 2004 to March 2016, progressing from Technical Designer to Game Designer. Responsibilities throughout the career have focused on designing levels, systems, and combat scenarios, along with implementing these designs and maintaining complex game systems. Wenceslao holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in Computational Modeling from the University of California, Berkeley, earned between 1998 and 2003.
