Miguel Angel Sanchez Ruiz

Miguel Angel Sanchez Ruiz is an experienced epidemiologist with a diverse background in public health and data science. Currently working at Epiconcept since September 2022, Miguel is involved in research and surveillance related to Severe Acute Respiratory Infections. Previous roles include serving as an ECDC EU Intervention Epidemiologist Fellow at Santé publique France, and as a COVID-19 Vaccines Pillar Facilitator for the World Health Organization in Africa, focusing on vaccine roll-out strategies. Miguel has contributed to Médecins Sans Frontières by establishing surveillance systems in various countries, managing vaccination campaigns, and coordinating pharmacy operations. Education includes specialized training in Field Epidemiology from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and a Master's degree in Epidemiology and Public Health from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
