David Slitzky

David Slitzky has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the music industry. David began their career as a Trainee at Avatar Studios, where they gained knowledge and experience in production assistance. David then worked as a Marketing Assistant at The Town Hall before moving onto roles at record labels such as RCA Records and Descendant Records, where they completed graduate placements in A&R and digital marketing.

In 2011, David founded their own company, Dave Jonze Deals, which they ran until 2019. David also co-founded NOT 97, a music platform, and served as a Producer and Co-Founder until 2019.

In 2016, David joined Columbia Records for a graduate placement in A&R. Following this, they held positions at Epidemic Sound, starting as a Music Talent Acquisition (A&R) Manager and working their way up to Head of Music Development & Special Projects. Currently, they serve as the VP of Music & Artist Strategy at Epidemic Sound.

David also had experience outside of the music industry, serving as an Assistant Managing Director at the Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College, where they curated music programming and managed various aspects of the center. David also worked as an Assistant Editor at Skidmore Unofficial, an online news and editorial blog.

David Slitzky has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Music Business from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, obtained from 2015 to 2017. David also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with Honors in a self-determined major of Music Production & Engineering from Skidmore College, completed from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they achieved a High School Diploma from The Loomis Chaffee School in 2010. In addition, they have a background in Jazz Drumming from the Community Music School of Springfield, where they studied from 2002 to 2010. David also has certifications in Hootsuite Platform and Level I from PSIA - AASI Professional Ski Instructors of America - American Association of Snowboard Instructors.
