Shannon Charles

Shannon Charles serves as the Navigation Program Director at Epilepsy Alliance Florida since April 2023, where responsibilities include developing standard operating procedures for the Healthcare Navigation Program, establishing partnerships to connect uninsured populations with affordable healthcare, managing a $2 million Healthcare Navigation budget, and coordinating strategic planning for program visibility and consumer engagement. Prior to this role, Shannon held the position of Director of Workforce Development/Community Prosperity Director at Catalyst Miami from September 2013 to April 2023, focusing on securing funding through detailed proposals, forming partnerships to enhance organizational resources, and implementing community development initiatives. Additional experience includes managing blood drive accounts at Community Blood Centers of South Florida, fostering relationships at the University of Miami Tissue Bank, and contributing to cancer support programs at the American Cancer Society. Shannon holds a Master's degree in Public Health and a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from Florida International University.
