Joel Carlson has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Joel started their career as an Undergraduate Intern at Argonne National Laboratory in 2009. In 2010, they had an Undergraduate Technical Internship at Rockwell Collins. Subsequently, they joined Rockwell Collins as a Senior Software Engineer in 2011, where they worked on board support packages for radio platforms. Joel then moved to Cosmic Advanced Engineered Solutions in 2018 as a Software Development Engineer before joining SEAKR Engineering, Inc. as a Software Engineer III in 2020. At SEAKR Engineering, they focused on board support package work for a single board computer. In 2021, they joined Cubic Mission & Performance Solutions as a Principal Software Engineer, where they worked on embedded software development for space systems. Joel also had a role at Nuvotronics (owned by Cubic) prior to this. Currently, they are working at Epiq Solutions as a Senior Staff Software Engineer.
Joel Carlson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, also at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, in the year 2011.
