Meredith Gibson

Meredith Gibson is an experienced professional in media advocacy, geographic information systems, and health equity. Currently serving as the Media/GIS Director at the Institute for Public Strategies since December 2017, Meredith develops and implements media campaigns focused on health equity and substance use disorders. Additionally, Meredith holds the position of Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Hudson County Community College, teaching courses on various public health topics. As a Featured Contributor for GovLoop, Meredith writes articles related to media advocacy and health equity. Other roles include Incident Mapping Specialist at DEER CREEK RESOURCES LLC, developing spatial analysis for natural disasters, and a volunteer web application developer for the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, creating tools to support food ministries. Meredith has an extensive background in environmental policy consulting from previous work with the California Policy Initiative and has acquired degrees in Public Policy and Marine Biology, along with a certificate in Geographic Information Systems.
