Rachel Heath

Rachel Heath has worked in the scientific field for over a decade. In 2008, they began working as a Research Scientist at Syngenta, where they were responsible for genetic manipulation of yeast, fungus and oomycetes, as well as inhibition assays and laboratory management. In 2011, they joined The University of Manchester as a Senior Experimental Officer and Post-doctoral Research Associate, where they were part of an EU project BIOOX exploring alcohol oxidases for production of flavour and fragrance compounds. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Scientist for Epoch Biodesign.

Rachel Heath completed their DPhil in Biological electrochemistry from the University of Oxford in 2008. Prior to that, they attained their MChem in Chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2004.
