Amanda Lopez is a Geospatial Data Scientist at EpochGeo since November 2022, bringing extensive experience in geospatial analysis from prior roles. At USDA APHIS, Amanda worked as a Geographer on the Phytosanitary Advanced Analytics Team, focusing on risk analysis for invasive pests and diseases. Previous positions include Geospatial Research Assistant at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism, where Amanda contributed to studies on cartel smuggling and femicides in Central America. Amanda's early career involved internships with the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains, the U.S. Department of Justice, and various research roles in environmental and conflict management organizations. Amanda holds a Master's degree in Geospatial Intelligence and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland, as well as a high school diploma with an International Baccalaureate designation from Agoura High School.
