Sean Finley

Sean Finley has a diverse work experience in various roles related to application and product security. Sean currently serves as the Director of Application & Product Security at Eptura, starting in December 2022. Before that, they worked as an Application Security Manager at GEICO from March 2022 to December 2022, where they redesigned the application security program and focused on automation and scalability. Prior to that, they were the Application Security Program Strategy Lead - BISO at American Family Insurance from 2021 to 2022, where they designed the product security program and performed continuous gap analysis. Sean also worked as a Lead Application Security Engineer at Choice Hotels International and performed team and thought leadership, innovation in processes, and integration with technical departments. Sean has additional experience in roles such as Information Security Analyst, Senior System Security Engineer, Senior Application Systems Analyst, and Systems Analyst at various companies, where they contributed to the security, development, and maintenance of IT systems.

Sean Finley completed their B.A in Social Science from Chapman University between 2002 and 2006. Sean has also obtained several certifications, including CCSP (obtained in September 2018), CISSP (obtained in July 2016), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner ce (obtained in June 2016), CompTIA Network+ ce (obtained in June 2015), SSCP (obtained in December 2014), CompTIA Security+ ce (obtained in June 2013), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) (obtained in January 2020), and Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals (obtained date not specified).
