Scientist I at EQO

Emily Carpenter has had a diverse work experience. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at EQO as a Scientist I, Associate Scientist III, and Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. Prior to that, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Oklahoma from 2012 to 2014. During their time at EQO, they were the first employee in a biotechnology start-up focusing on the development of an environmentally friendly biotherapeutic to eradicate invasive species. Her roles included developing Standard Operating Procedures for novel protocols, managing and mentoring interns, maintaining accurate documentation, and isolating antibodies from Hybridoma cell lines. Emily also created novel products by genetically engineering multiple chimeric genes and extracting DNA from various species. Additionally, they maintained growth of cell lines for over a year.

Emily Carpenter attended the University of Oklahoma from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, General. Emily then returned to the University of Oklahoma from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Master of Science in Plant Molecular Biology.
