Prasanna Murugavel

Prasanna Murugavel has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Prasanna began their career as a Human Resources Intern at AOL in 2004. Prasanna then worked as a Recruiter at Samco Soft Consulting from 2005 to 2006. Following this, they joined Aricent Communications Software as a Specialist - Technical Recruitment, where they successfully hired niche skill sets and played a significant role in ramping up a network processor project. In 2008, Prasanna joined ThoughtWorks as Lead - Recruitment, responsible for growing the Chennai office and managing a team of recruiters. Prasanna helped the office grow to over 175 employees and implemented various strategies to reduce costs and improve recruitment efficiency. Prasanna also mentored and coached the team to enhance their skills. In 2010, they transitioned to the role of Manager - Human Resources at ThoughtWorks, overseeing the end-to-end people experience for the Chennai and Gurgaon offices. Prasanna managed performance management, implemented HR initiatives, and ensured employee satisfaction and engagement.

In 2013, Prasanna joined Indix as the Senior Director of HR. In this role, they worked closely with global leadership to run company-wide initiatives, conducted training and workshops, and focused on organizational development and design. After leaving Indix in 2018, Prasanna joined Equal Experts as the Head of People, responsible for hiring, onboarding, and managing the entire people experience for the Australia and New Zealand offices. In 2021, they transitioned to Lab49 as the Talent Management Leader for the APAC region. Currently, Prasanna is working as the Head of People & Community at Equal Experts, where they are responsible for people and community management.

Prasanna Murugavel's education history begins with their time at Santhome Hr Sec School from 1988 to 2000, where they pursued a degree in Science with a focus on Computer Science. Following this, they attended Loyola College from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Prasanna then enrolled in SSN Institutions from 2003 to 2005 to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Human Resources.

In addition to their formal education, Prasanna Murugavel has obtained two certifications. In April 2021, they attained the Certified Agile Leadership Essentials (CAL-E) certification from Scrum Alliance. Prasanna also received the Certified Agile Leadership for Teams (CAL-T) certification from the same institution in April 2021.
