Josh Cannon earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2010 from the Department of History Honors Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where his honors thesis was published in the Journal of Planning History. Prior to joining EJI in 2015, he taught preschool children and coordinated projects for industrial automation systems firm in Hoover, Alabama. He was also a contributor to the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute blog, The Struggle Continues.
