Emily Bloomfield

Emily Bloomfield has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Emily is currently the Head of Content and Channels at the Equality and Human Rights Commission since January 2023. Emily previously held the role of Vice Chair at Manchester Mind from July 2021.

Prior to their current roles, Emily worked as a Senior Communications Manager at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) from March 2017 to December 2022. Emily also served as the Internal Communications Manager at NICE from November 2014 to March 2017, where they played a key role in developing internal communication and engagement strategies.

Emily has also worked as a Marketing Communications Consultant at The Co-operative Banking Group from June 2013 to November 2014. Before that, they served as the Communications & Social Media Coordinator at The Oddfellows Friendly Society from June 2008 to May 2013.

In addition to their professional roles, Emily had a brief stint as a Team Leader for the FutureTravel project at FutureEverything festival in May 2011. Emily also worked as an Events & Communications Officer at the British Council from July 2007 to June 2008, and as a Marketing & Recruitment Assistant at the University of Salford - Salford Business School from August 2005 to 2007.

Emily Bloomfield obtained their Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Language, Literacy, and Communication from The University of Manchester, completing their education between 2001 and 2004.
