Taitu Heron

Taitu Heron is currently the Research Project Lead at Equality Fund, focusing on financial and legal systems impacting fund operations for women’s rights organizations and LGBTQ NGOs in the Caribbean. Taitu also holds positions at LeadHERship Institute as a Resource Mobilization Lead/Trainer and at WEChange JA as a Technical Director advocating for social and economic justice for lesbian, bisexual, and queer women in Jamaica. With a background in gender consultancy and inclusive development, Taitu has worked with organizations like The World Bank, UN Women, and UNDP. Taitu's educational background includes a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in International Relations and Spanish from The University of the West Indies.
