Mike Fogel

Mike Fogel has a diverse work experience in the fields of engineering and software development. Mike is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Equilibrium Energy since March 2022. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2021, Mike worked as a Digital Nomad for BullsEye Labs, where they gained experience in various technologies such as Scala, AWS services, Python, and JavaScript.

In addition, Mike served as an Engineering Advisor at Boxbot from 2018 to 2020. Mike co-founded and worked as the VP of Engineering at Prism from 2014 to 2016, and as the Director of Engineering from 2011 to 2013. Before that, they were an Engineering Lead at Soup from November 2010 to May 2011.

Earlier in their career, Mike was the first hire at OpenDNS in 2005, where they had responsibilities in devops, backend and frontend web development. Mike also worked as a Technical Specialist at Google for a brief period in 2005. In 2004, they were a Research Assistant at the Berkeley Holzapfel Experimental Cosmology Group.

Mike Fogel has a diverse education history. Mike obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Astrophysics, Physics, and Applied Math from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2000 to 2004. Mike later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University from 2008 to 2010. Presently, they are working toward a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, starting in 2019 and expected to finish in 2023. Moreover, they have relevant expertise in deep learning, having completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in 2019. Prior to their formal education, they studied Computer Science and Spanish at the City College of San Francisco, although the specific years are unknown.
