Bilal Shahwani

Bilal Shahwani has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they hold the position of Global Head of Engineering at Swvl. Prior to this, they worked at Signature Technology as the Head of Engineering where they successfully built a team and launched an eCommerce platform within 30 days. Bilal also played a key role as the Chief Technology Officer at AWOK.com, where they were responsible for defining, developing, deploying, and managing the organization's digital footprint. Additionally, they led the team that secured a Series-A funding of $30 million. Prior to these roles, Bilal worked as an Engineering Consultant at Walmart and served as an Information Technology Consultant at DHL eCommerce. Overall, they have demonstrated strong leadership and strategic skills throughout their career.

Bilal Shahwani pursued their education at Bahria University from 2008 to 2011, where they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Later, they joined Swinburne University of Technology from 2012 to 2013 to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Finance.
