Clara Alemann serves as the Director of Programs at Equimundo since November 2019, bringing extensive experience in promoting gender equality and addressing gender-based violence. Previously, Clara held the position of Senior Consultant on gender-based violence at the World Bank Group, where responsibilities included leading assessments of risks related to sexual exploitation and recommending interventions. As a Gender, Social Protection & Health Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, Clara provided technical advice and designed interventions to tackle gender barriers. Clara's career also includes roles at UNDP, where responsibilities ranged from overseeing governance and gender programs to managing evaluations for gender mainstreaming. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Policy and Administration from Columbia University and a Licenciatura in Political Science from the Universidad de Buenos Aires.
