Erich Suter

Erich Suter is a highly experienced professional in computational geoscience and software development, currently serving as a Principal Analyst IT at Equinor since July 2023, focusing on the Fast Model Update software portfolio. Prior to this role, Suter worked as an R&D Software Specialist at Fishency Innovation, developing machine learning and computer vision solutions for the fish farming industry. Suter has extensive research experience, including positions as a Senior Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Scientist at NORCE Norwegian Research Centre and the International Research Institute of Stavanger, respectively, where significant contributions were made to geological interpretation and reservoir model management. Early career roles included software engineering at Roxar and Swiss International Air Lines, and research at SINTEF. Suter holds a PhD in Computational Geoscience from the University of Stavanger, a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Oslo, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Gjøvik University College.
