Xochitl Dominguez Benetton

Xochitl Dominguez Benetton serves as an EU Policy Advisor at Equinor since December 2024, focusing on research and innovation engagement and EU R&I strategy. Prior experience includes a tenure at VITO from January 2015 to November 2024, where Xochitl held roles such as Technical Product Owner, responsible for maximizing the value of gas-diffusion electrocrystallization technology, and Senior Scientist, leading electrochemical technology development. Additionally, Xochitl acted as an Independent Expert Evaluator for the European Commission from July 2021 to October 2024, contributing to Horizon Europe proposals, and has been an Invited Professor at Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan since January 2020. Editorial board membership at Scientific Reports - Nature commenced in October 2020. Xochitl has also completed specializations in Strategy and Sustainable Business Strategy at Harvard Business School Online in 2023.
